The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) lit up campus this week with a vibrant outreach event designed to connect with students and share learning support opportunities.
Students gathered around to engage with CTL staff, who handed out information cards, study resources, and small treats. The atmosphere was festive, with laughter, music, and a warm sense of community running through the event.
Adding to the fun were NWU’s much-loved mascots, who posed for photos, handed out goodies, and reminded everyone that learning can be both exciting and accessible. The mascots drew big smiles from students and staff alike, turning the activation into a memorable occasion.
One of the facilitators explained that these outreach activities are an important way to raise awareness:
“We want students to know that CTL is here to walk with them on their learning journey, whether it’s through workshops, one-on-one consultations, or online resources.”
The event reflects CTL’s ongoing commitment to make student support visible, approachable, and engaging. By meeting students where they are — literally on campus walkways — CTL is strengthening its connection with the academic community and ensuring that no student feels alone on the road to success.
